The Small Form-factor Pluggable transceiver provides a low-cost replacement for Cisco original GLC-T 1000BASE-T SFP gigabit interface converter. It is a hot-swappable input/output device that plugs into a Gigabit Ethernet port or slot, linking the port with the network. It supports full-duplex Gigabit Ethernet connectivity up to 100 meters reach over category 5 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cables. The compatible GLC-T is programmed and tested in the factory to ensure working perfectly with Cisco Ethernet switches, Ethernet routers, Network interface cards (NICs) and Ethernet media converters.
